What is Your Favorite Thing About Living in Arcadia?
"My favorite 'thing' about Arcadia isn't a material 'thing.'
It's how we have, together, created a culture that values the neighborhood
and the community, along with each of us as individuals.
Several dozen of us have stayed put for 25 years, through thick and thin,
and many more have been around for quite a while.
Our valuing of the collective along with this fermenting or ripening has created
an uncommon neighborhood identity, cohesion, and attentiveness to our place and people.
It's really quite a precious thing in an age of hyper-individualism, hyper-mobility,
restlessness, shifting of society away from place and to the internet, and collective ADD."

"I love so much about Arcadia from knowing all of my neighbors to the peaceful natural setting away from road noise. Every time I drive home through the woods I am reminded of what a special place it is.

"One of my favorite things about living in Arcadia is the access my son has to things beyond myself including vegetable gardening, caring for chickens, learning to split wood and acting in the yearly play. I also enjoy cooking and it has been great fun to share in the making of meals for the community."

"I love that my neighbor just called and asked me to pick up some dish detergent when I'm at our local co-op today; she knew that I would be there for my regular volunteer shift and that I would be happy to save her a shopping trip."
